1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Dispute Buddy, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree, you must not use the product.

2. Nature of the Service

Dispute Buddy is a software tool that:

  • extracts and organises message data
  • generates reports based on that data
  • optionally provides AI-assisted behavioural analysis

3. Not Legal or Professional Advice

Dispute Buddy:

  • is not a law firm
  • does not provide legal advice
  • does not create a solicitor-client relationship
  • is not a substitute for professional legal, psychological, or clinical advice

You should seek qualified professional advice where appropriate.

4. AI-Generated Analysis

Behaviour Analysis Reports are generated using artificial intelligence.

You acknowledge that:

  • AI may produce errors, inaccuracies, or false positives
  • outputs are interpretive, not definitive
  • the system is not a psychologist, clinician, or expert witness

You must not rely on AI-generated content as the sole basis for decisions.

5. Not Court-Ready Evidence

Reports generated by Dispute Buddy:

  • are not guaranteed to be admissible in court
  • are not certified evidence
  • may require verification, formatting, or expert interpretation

You are responsible for ensuring any material meets legal standards.

6. User Responsibilities

You agree that you:

  • have the legal right to access and process the data you upload
  • will use the product only for lawful purposes
  • will not use the product to harass, intimidate, or unlawfully surveil others

7. Third-Party Data

The product may process data relating to third parties.

You are solely responsible for:

  • compliance with applicable privacy laws
  • obtaining any required consents

8. Device Limit

Your licence permits use with a maximum of:

Two (2) devices / phones per purchase

Additional usage may require a separate licence.

9. Service Availability

We do not guarantee that the service will be:

  • uninterrupted
  • error-free
  • available at all times

Processing times may vary depending on device, data size, and system conditions.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Dispute Buddy is provided “as is”
  • we are not liable for:
    • decisions made based on reports
    • inaccuracies in extracted or analysed data
    • loss, damage, or legal consequences arising from use

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any claims arising from:

  • your misuse of the product
  • your breach of these terms
  • your handling or use of third-party data

12. Payments & Refunds

12.1 Payments

All payments are processed securely via third-party payment providers (e.g. Stripe).

By making a purchase, you agree to:

  • provide accurate payment information
  • pay all applicable fees at the time of purchase

Prices are displayed in the applicable currency and may be subject to change.

12.2 One-Off Purchase

Dispute Buddy is sold as a one-off purchase (unless otherwise stated).

Your purchase grants access to the software subject to these Terms, including the device limit outlined above.

12.3 Refund Policy

We want you to feel confident using Dispute Buddy. If you are genuinely dissatisfied with the product, we will consider refund requests in good faith.

Refunds may be provided where:

  • the product does not function as described, or
  • you experience technical issues that prevent reasonable use, or
  • you are otherwise dissatisfied after reasonable use of the product

12.4 Refund Conditions

To be eligible for a refund:

  • requests must be made within [e.g. 14 days] of purchase
  • you must provide sufficient detail about the issue or reason for dissatisfaction

We may decline refund requests where:

  • the product has been used extensively beyond reasonable evaluation
  • the request is abusive or made in bad faith
  • the issue relates to factors outside our control (e.g. unsupported devices, user environment limitations clearly disclosed)

12.5 Refund Process

Include:

  • your purchase email
  • a brief description of the issue

We aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Approved refunds will be issued via the original payment method.

12.6 Chargebacks

If you have an issue with your purchase, please contact us first.

Initiating a chargeback without contacting us may result in:

  • suspension of access
  • additional review of your account

12.7 Consumer Law

Nothing in this section limits your rights under applicable consumer protection laws, including the Australian Consumer Law.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the product constitutes acceptance of any changes.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
