Privacy

Last updated: 25th Sept 2025

Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use Dispute Buddy.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

  • User Information: Name, email address, and payment details when you register or purchase a subscription.
  • Device Information: Device identifiers, operating system, and diagnostic information for troubleshooting.
  • Contact Information: Names and phone numbers you choose to include in exported reports.
  • Log Data: Error reports and diagnostic logs, which may contain personal information such as email addresses or file paths.

2. Optional AI Report Feature

If you enable the optional AI Report feature:

Message Content Sent

  • We process only the messages you export (restricted to your selected date range and contacts).
  • These messages are transmitted with a random identifier and the text content.
  • We do not attach your name, email, or account identifiers, but the text itself may contain personal or sensitive information (yours or others').

Purpose of Use

Message text is analyzed solely to generate an AI-powered report highlighting possible abuse or coercion.

Third-Party Processing

  • To provide this analysis, we forward message text to trusted third-party AI providers (currently OpenAI, but subject to change).
  • These providers may process the data on servers located outside your country.

Data Retention

  • Exported messages are stored only as long as needed to generate the AI Report and return it to you.
  • In addition, 20% of exported messages are randomly sampled and securely retained to assist with development, testing, and improvements of the AI Report feature.
  • These sampled messages may contain personal or sensitive data and are handled with the same security and confidentiality measures described in this Policy.
  • AI providers may retain data temporarily for abuse monitoring and security purposes but do not use it to train their models.

Your Choice

The AI Report feature is optional. If you do not request it, no message content is transmitted to our servers or to third-party AI providers.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected data to:

  • Provide and improve the Dispute Buddy service.
  • Deliver purchased subscriptions and support.
  • Generate reports and documents as requested.
  • Diagnose technical issues and improve security.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:

  • Service providers assisting in payments, hosting, and analytics.
  • Third-party AI providers (for the optional AI Report feature only).
  • Legal authorities where required by law.

5. Data Security

We use encryption and strict access controls to protect your information. Logs containing PII are retained only as long as necessary and are subject to restricted access.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, unless longer retention is required by law.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data, and to withdraw consent for processing. Please contact us at help@disputebuddy.co.
