Fix ‘iPhone Not Showing in iTunes’ on Windows
- Use an Apple (or good quality) cable — some cheaper cables only charge and don't transfer data, so iTunes can't see your iPhone.
- Restart both your iPhone and computer and reconnect them
Tip: If you just installed iTunes today, give Windows about 20 minutes to finish setting up drivers, then restart your PC and try again. - Check Apple's Mobile Device Support (driver/service): Press the Windows key → type "Services" → open Services.
- Look for Apple Mobile Device Service. If you see it: right-click → Restart.
- If you don't see it: reinstall iTunes (reinstalling refreshes these drivers). Download from apple.com/itunes.
- Try a different USB port: Use a port directly on the back of the PC if possible. Some front ports don't provide stable power.
- Show the "Trust this computer" prompt again: On iPhone: Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone → Reset Location & Privacy. Reconnect the iPhone. You should see the trust question again — choose Trust and enter your passcode.
- Temporarily turn off VPN or antivirus: Some security software can block the connection. Turn it off briefly, connect your iPhone, then turn it back on.
- After each step, open iTunes and check if the iPhone icon appears.
