How it works
-
1. Download app to desktop
Download the Dispute Buddy app onto your desktop. Open from downloads folder, drag into Applications, then open the app.
-
2. Connect phone
Use an Apple cord (not a cheap one) to connect your iPhone to your Mac. We’ll check you have enough storage too. If you don’t, you can connect a hard drive.
-
3. Enter contacts
Tell us your name and phone number, and enter the contact names and group chat names of the people whose texts you need to submit as evidence.
-
4. Wait
It takes around 20 minutes, depending on how much you have on your phone. You can still use your phone and laptop/computer which we search. Just make sure they stay plugged in, or you’ll need to start again.
-
5. Export to PDF
We’ll organise your chat threads, and you can download them to PDF, ready to send to your lawyer.
-
6. Repeat as many times as you like
Go back and select more contacts, or different group chats, or a new date range. Download as many PDFs as you like.
FAQs
-
1) An Apple cable (cheap ones won’t work)
2) At least 100GB spare on your laptop, or an external hard drive.
3) Around 30 mins, to leave your phone plugged into your laptop
4) Make sure your laptop and phone are charged

Hi, I’m Jenny Rudd, founder of Dispute Buddy
I remember what it was like to screenshot and email hundreds of messages and send them to my lawyer for an emergency application to Family Court. It was so stressful; I had no idea which messages were important for my case. And I needed to do a good job so that my kids were safe.
It was so scary and confusing.
Dispute Buddy’s been designed to remove stress, and help you resolve your dispute successfully and quickly so you can move on with your life.
You can contact me on jenny@disputebuddy.co with any questions, or click on the live chat. It connects directly with me.
